Most weapons fall into one of five size categories: Light, Short, Long, Great, and Ranged.
  • Light weapons do base 1 damge
  • Short weapons do 2 base damage
  • Long weapons do 3 base damage
  • Great weapons do 4 base damage
  • Ranged weapons do 2 base damage[/list]

    Most weapons also fall into one of four type categories: Cleaving, Bludgeoning, Slashing, and Piercing.
  • Slashing weapons do -1 damage from base
  • Piercing weapons do +1 damage from base
  • All other type categories do not modify base damage (unless specifically stated).
    There are 3 other type categories of Weapons and these each use their own system: Natural, Armor, and Shield.

    Weapons come in various materials, which modify their base damage, as well as modify the color of the weapon’s striking surface. Some weapons are Uncrafted. This means that they can be found in the woods. It takes 5 minutes to find any one weapon. Uncrafted weapons do -1 from base damage. The basic materials are (these do not modify base damage):
  • Wood: Brown or Green
  • Stone: Black
  • Bone: White
  • Iron: Grey
  • Claw/Bite: Red Tip
    Each Material upgrade past the basic materials adds +2 Damage to the weapon. (Unless specifically stated otherwise)

    Weapon Abilities

    Each type category of Weapon has its own abilities and critical series. The size categories do as well, with one notable exception. For purposes of weapon abilities, Short and Light both use “Short” Weapon Enhancements. Categorization in the Light size category is only for the purposes of damage calculation.

    Short: (+10/2, +20/3, +50/6, Backstab/2)
    This weapon style utilizes both secrecy, and strikes of different vital regions to dispatch its opponents. The sneaky style.

    Long:
    (+10/2, +30/4, +50/6, Trip/3)
    This weapon style emphasizes tactical battlefield manipulation, and control of one's enemies so as to dispatch them. The tactical style.

    Great:
    (+20/3, +40/5, +60/7, Massive/4)
    This weapon style utilizes strong, broad strikes in a manner to dispatch of one's opponents despite any defences that they might attempt to utilize themselves. The powerful style.

    Ranged:
    (+20/3, +30/4, +60/7, Footpin/2)
    This weapon style attempts to accurately keep any and all opposition at bay while harming them from a distance. The marksman style.

    Piercing: (+10/2, +20/3, +60/7, Pierce/2)
    This weapon style focuses on pin-point attacks so as to eliminate the practitioner's opposition. The precision style.

    Slashing: (+10/2, +20/3, +40/+5, Riposte/3)
    This weapon style uses sweeping motions allowing one to defend a blow and still be useful in combat. The duelist style.

    Bludgeoning:
    (+20/3, +30/4, +50/6, sunder/4)
    This weapon style breaks the hopes and bones of the opposition beneath it's heavy blows. The crushing style.

    Cleaving:
    (+10/2, +40/5, +60/7, Limb Sever/6)
    This weapon style concentrates all of its form to each attack. The offensive style.

    Natural:
    (+10/2, +20/3, +30/4, Rend/2)
    Rend, claw, tear, and bite your foes. The "I don't mind getting my hands dirty" style.

    Shield:[/b] (Parry20/2, Parry40/4, Parry60/6, Retain/2)
    This weapon style is highly attentive to protection, turning dangerous attacks into glancing blows. The defensive style.

    Armor:
    (No usable criticals.) Increases the amount of armor you have to make you a very formidable opponent.
